🎯 Precision Tips is now 🏴 Mission Dominate
Hi there.
Precision Tips is now Mission Dominate!
When I first started my newsletter, I had no idea what the hell I was doing.
And I still don’t know what the hell I’m doing.
All I know is, I’m having fun and I am using my newsletter as testing grounds.
What’s changing?
So… Precision Tips was about helping readers nail the bullseye in life and in work.
Mission Dominate is about — wait for it — dominating your mission!
Alright, but seriously…
Precision Tips wasn’t a great name for a newsletter.
I mean, it wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great.
My brand is about not just winning, but winning big.
And I know that each person is on a mission.
I want to encourage my audience and my readers to dominate their missions.
Like, don’t just barely win the race.
Dominate that race and win it by a long-shot.
Doesn’t matter if you are trying to build a copywriting business or lead your family or be an amazing employee…
Dominating our missions leads to confidence.
We’re better when we dominate.
If we’re just barely getting by, putting in the minimum effort to accomplish our goals, then I would say it’s not worth it.
The missions worth dominating are the ones that we feel we need to dominate.
A soldier doesn’t go into a war zone to get killed.
He goes in to fight for his side, to preserve his life and the lives of his countrymen.
I don’t want to go into my workplace and get killed.
I want to dominate my mission.
You with me?
I missed two Saturdays’ newsletter
Partially because I was trying to figure out branding for the new newsletter.
Starting this Saturday, I’ll be back to delivering right on schedule.
And God-willing, moving forward, I’ll publish every Saturday.
Let’s talk Mission Dominate for a second
As it relates to X, because that is the platform where I am publishing nowadays, everyone is flaunting their wins.
Whenever they hit another hundred followers, they’re quick to go to their feed and announce it.
I’ve observed several accounts that almost exclusively talk about their own growth tactics.
“Six days ago I was at 100 followers and now I’m closing in on 1,000. Here’s how I did it.”
That kind of stuff.
Okay, but…
Are you building skills?
Are you reading books?
Are you going for walks?
Are you working on an offer?
Are you listening to podcasts?
Or are you only networking, posting, and engaging on X?
I don’t want to judge, because large accounts are generally good.
Especially if they get consistent, quality engagement.
Having an audience — small or large — is not good in itself.
Unless you just want to boast about a number.
An audience is good for:
Building relationships
Sharing your knowledge
Selling your product or service
Also, having a large following is good for ghostwriters who want to prove that they are capable of growing a large audience.
HOWEVER…
I think a big chunk of the creators who dominate are the ones who don’t care about the number of followers.
They are, instead, committed to putting out great content, improving their craft, developing a product/service that helps other people, iterating frequently, and being consistent.
I want to give you one action step to help you dominate your mission…
Be aggressive with your content creation and engagement.
Especially when you feel like quitting.
Write something, post it, and talk to other creators.
And that’s a wrap, folks.
Looking forward to connecting with you further.
If you have any questions, be sure to hit me in the DM’s on X.
Until next time,
Neil
